The people of the Andena Mountains in Peru traditionally use Ratanhia root to clean their teeth. Like all things Weleda, we respect that wisdom and build on it for natural health. The sturdy red root is rich in tanning agents which protect and strengthen sore gums, and it contains natural anti-bacterial qualities. We add calming myrrh and refreshing essential oils of peppermint and spearmint, with calcium-based cleansers for a naturally effective toothpaste.

How to use: Apply a small amount of toothpaste to a dry toothbrush and brush over the teeth and gums for a through cleaning. For children over 6 years, we recommend a pea-sized amount

Key ingredients:
Krameria Triandra Root Extract: The Krameria Triandra Root Extract contains many tannins that have an astringent (tanning) effect, e.g. to the oral mucosa. Therefore, the dark brown root extract is a particularly suitable ingredient for mouth and dental care products.
Commiphora Myrrha Resin Extract: Essential oils are important ingredients of the dark-yellow to reddish coloured myrrha resin. Myrrha extracts are astringent and toning. They are suitable ingredients of dental care products, as well as for the care of tired and pale skin.
Free from water-soluble fluoride, synthetic preservatives, fragrances, colourants and raw materials derived from mineral oils.
